Writer | Director | Editor

I am a Screenwriter, Director and Editor. My passion for writing, art and film began at a very young age and has impacted my life in a multitude of ways. I won the Young Authors Writing Contest at the age of 12 and I was accepted to a private art school by age 16. I have won and been a finalist in several art competitions throughout my life and continually challenge myself as an artist. My desire to share my creativity with the world and inspire others continues to drive me everyday.

After studying Commercial Art and Graphic Design in Chicago, I moved to Los Angeles, where I spent many years as a freelance Video Editor for a diverse group of clients including Bon Secours Medical, Edison Int’l, Hard Rock Hotel, Academi, IWI and High Threat Concealment.

I have produced and directed several music videos such as “Crime of Love” (for Wavelength Music) and served as the Editor and Producer for the independent feature film MAN IN A BOX for DynaCore Films (Winner “Best Feature Film” at the Poconos Mountain Film Festival). In 2014 I Wrote, Directed and Produced my first short film called CAPSIZED.

Inspired by and dedicated to the tragic real events of the capsized Costa Concordia and MV Sewol, CAPSIZED tells the story of a young bride-to-be who must find a way to save her fiancé from drowning in a cargo hold of a capsized cruise ship – using only a cell phone.

CAPSIZED has been an Official Selection at dozens of film festivals in the US, UK and Asia. CAPSIZED earned a total of 16 Nominations including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Screenplay and Best Sound Design and won 8 Awards including Best Film, Best Screenplay and Best Sound Design.

In 2015, I completed the feature length screenplay called “18% – Based on a True Story.” The script details the true events surrounding my wife and I having a severely premature child, who was given a very slim chance of survival, only months after making it through the ordeal of Hurricane Ivan.

18% was nominated for “Best Dramatic Scene” and “Best New Writer” from Action on Film Festival in California. 18% won the “BEST DRAMA” award from Reel Authors 2015, Best Feature Screenplay from WMIFF 2016 and has received Nominations for Best Drama at Bare Bones and NOVA Fest 2016 as well as Top 5 Drama Finalist from LVISC 2016. Most recently, 18% became a Finalist and Official Selection at the Richmond Int’l Film Festival for 2017.

Did I Mention I'm a Writer?
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become.”Steve Jobs, Apple Inc. RIP
